Biography
Teresa received her B.S. at Rice University. She obtained her PhD from Baylor College of Medicine, then went on to postdoctoral studies at the University of California, San Francisco. Her research will focus on the molecular biology of breast cancer and the tumor microenvironment, focusing on patient groups with the greatest need for therapeutics. I am excited to learn from the FUERTE community, train and engage students, increase diversity in biomedical research, and apply my expertise to impact community health. I look forward to joining the amazing community at SDSU and growing the opportunities for cancer research on campus.
