Biography
Dr. Jessica McCurley will be joining the Department of Psychology. She received her Ph.D. from the SDSU/UCSD Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School.
Her research involves developing interventions that aim to reduce the burden of cardiometabolic diseases (e.g., type 2 diabetes) and depression in low-income populations. Dr. McCurley was motivated to join FUERTE to participate in interdisciplinary efforts to improve health outcomes across population sand increase the pipeline of students going into the behavioral science.
