Biography
Dr. Jessica McCurley will be joining the Department of Psychology. She received her Ph.D. from the SDSU/UCSD Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Her research involves developing interventions that aim to reduce disparities in cardiometabolic diseases (e.g., type 2 diabetes) and depression in low-income populations. Dr. McCurley was motivated to join FUERTE to participate in interdisciplinary efforts to improve health equity in the Latinx population and increase the pipeline of underrepresented students in behavioral science. She looks forward to working with the diverse faculty and student body at SDSU.
